Its been one whole year since the DA community has been hit with the loss of !cherigirl. Somehow, it feels a little longer.
I know her brother and close friends are doing some kinda service in her memory exclusive for those closest to her. I don't think I fall under that category, but I still feel I should say something to honor her in my own way.
When I first signed up on DA a little over two years ago, I didn't know how things worked around here yet. Didn't know how to get peoples attention. Cheri was one of the first people to say hi and comment on my work and whatnot and pretty much kept an open eye of how I was doing since.
While I can't rightly say we were close friends, you couldn't help but love her. She was always so sweet and actually meant what words she said. That polite nature became very contagious to those that came into contact with her. Its rare to find someone like that on the internet of all places.
Wether she knew it or not, she meant a lot of things to a lot of people. I'm glad I was one of them. Cheri isn't someone I'm ever going to forget. And I doubt many others won't either.
I'm not sure if this journal was a good idea on my part, but I feel something had to be said.
To me she will always be appreciated and missed.
